The Outback is Tout Terrain’s most capable off-road machine, designed to take on backcountry bikepacking adventures or shred your local trails after work. It’s perfect for those who like to challenge themselves in uncharted terrain, pushing the limits of themselves and their equipment with every new outing.

The frame design strikes an ideal balance between trail-ripping modern mountain bike geometry and clearance for frame bags and easy loading. Frame braze-ons let you choose between optional Tubus rear racks or traditional bikepacking bags, and the geometry is equal parts efficient and stable.

The multi-butted CroMoly steel frame is designed to accept both standard 29˝ wheels with tires up to 2.35˝ wide, or run a 27.5+ setup with the extra traction and comfort of 3˝ wide rubber. Throw on your choice of standard suspension fork, a leaf-sprung carbon option from Lauf, or an adventure-ready rigid carbon fork from CoLab Components.

The Outback platform is built for use with a Pinion gearbox, with options offering wide-range gearing (with up to a 636% gear range on the P1.18 model!) in an entirely sealed unit that’s virtually impervious to the elements and requires next to no regular maintenance. When paired with a belt system from Gates Carbon Drive, it’s the ideal drivetrain solution for those heading deep into the backcountry on self-supported excursions.
